Animation Block Party this Weekend Beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Animation Block Party is presenting “a showcase of some of Los Angeles’ most notable animation talent” at the Silent Movie Theatre in Hollywood, CA. The event is part of Animation Breakdown 2011, presented by ABP, Cartoon Brew, and Golden Road Brewing (watch the trailer). Screened will be the Adventure Time episode “Thank You.” A panel will include the short’s storyboard artist, Tom Herpich, along with the series’ art director, Nick Jennings. Tom and Nick aren’t often on panels for the show, so it’s a rare opportunity to find out the answers to more production- and art-related questions. In other words, we’re not sure if they’ll be able to let you know when again we’ll see the Earl of Lemongrab or what happens in the episode where Ice King and Marceline meet up.
